“Let the children come to me…
For it is to such as these that the Kingdom of God belongs…
Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”
Feast of the Child Jesus in the Philippines.
Fr Chito Dimaranan SDB speaks of hope, repentance, conversion, being childlike, and being childish.
The future hope
Bata sa isip, sa diwa
- Lectio (Read)
- Mark 10:13-16
- Meditatio (Reflect)
- Are you a child: childish or childlike?
- Oracio (Pray)
- “Every life counts: from the beginning to the end, from conception to natural death.” ~ Pope Francis. Pray for every child in the wombs that they may live to see the world and not be deprived of a life of a child.
- Contemplatio (Listen)
- Just be silent. Only in quietness and silence of your heart that you can hear the voice of God. When you talk God listens. Now, it’s God’s turn to speak; your time to listen.
- Actio (Act)
- Are you being childish or childlike? How often do you deny someone to park his car in the streets or a public parking area so that you can park yours for your convenience. Yes, even that is childish because you are being selfish. Imagine if you feel that way every day, you sin every day. And I bet you, you never admit that to your confession. Now you know what your next action is.
“Listening to a religious teaching or learning a doctrine is not enough. What we want is to live as Jesus lived.” ~ Pope Francis
