Are You On the Side of the Truth?
What the millennials and gen-zs are missing today is how the baby boomers and gen-xs used to celebrate the Feast of Christ the King — regal processions, triumphant marches, and a huge community in prayer. Gone are the days when every house was adorned with the image of Christ The King and flags of yellow and white. In absence of these festive rituals, what is important is that you are on the side of the True King.
Happy Feast Day of Christ the King. Purihin ang Cristo Rey.
“Yes I Am King. I was born for this. I came into the world for this: to bear witness to the truth; and all who are on the side of truth listen to my voice.”
~ Mark 12:43-44
In his reflection, Fr Chito Dimaranan SDB compares how back then the Christian community used to celebrate the Feast of Christ the King to how the now generation observe the feast today. But more than rituals, the true spirit of this feast should reign forever.

Christ is the only King who reigns forever
“Men and women bear God’s image within and are the object of His infinite love, in whatever condition they were called into existence.” ~ Pope Francis, 24 Nov 18
