Where in the Bible Jesus speaks of servant-leadership
In Mark 10:35-45, John and James asked Jesus to seat them on his left and right. There are many “johns” and “james’s” in the corporate world, politics, government, showbiz, and even NGOs, who desire to be in public position, higher office and rank, film projects, and doing charity for the sake of public image and recognition.
Anyone who wants to become great among you must be your servant; and anyone who wants to be first among you must be slave to all.
~ Mark 10:43-44
Fr Chito Dimaranan SDB speaks of servant-leadership. Mother Theresa of Calcutta followed what Jesus teaches us in the Gospel. She is an epitome of servant-leadership. For Christians and non-Christians worldwide, she was a leader; but in her heart, she was a humble servant.
